Some of you may have already had this success before, but it's my own first
time with it, so I figured I'd announce it:
I made a playlist, added it to the scheduler, and all items in the playlist
played on time, and played correctly. Sounded good, too.
For the record: the first song played by my LS Station: Get Up, Stand Up,
by Bob Marley
Tips:
I'm running the second version (is it still an alpha?) of LS-Knoppix, and
on top of that am running unofficial, experimental, highly unstable and
downright dangerous Debian packages that I, as a total noob, made last week
from a CVS snapshot.
While the machine I'm working on has three sound cards, LS-Knoppix in its
default consistently recognizes two of three. But the third was the one I
wanted, so I ran alsaconf to select my Yamaha AC-XG sound card. Then the
sound worked fine, not only for LiveSupport, but for other apps as well.
Next step: Trying out Tomas Hlava's mass import tool...
