Hi,
Here are some notes from today's meeting. The following people were=20
present: Ferenc, Micz, Akos, Michael, Sebastian, Tomas, Doug, Sava.
Efforts to prioritize individual items (see Micz' chart) with emphasis on=20
functionality.
For the Serious Tech Preview of LS Studio, we will use standard GTK=20
headers for lists, only table items will be alternating colors (empty will =
be white), pulldowns round.
Search/Browse are considered highest priority because all other functions=20
depend on the ability to add items.
Currently Playing and Playing Next takes its information from the Live=20
Mode playlist, not from the scheduler.
Currently Playing does not have the graphical bar, but has the elapsed=20
time, and Playing Next has elapsed time and remaining time.
Making Debian packages by 22 April will allow Michael to start work on the =
Installer CD. A prototype will be available around that date. The final=20
Install CD will include the GUI-based installation procedure. The=20
important thing is that the Install CD be repeatable and updatable.
Michael will return to Prague 3 May to work with Akos on making the=20
Install CD.
A PC with the 'reference hardware' specified by Michael will be available=20
for his testing and possibly for the generation and testing of future=20
versions of the Installer CD.

I am afraid we fell a bit short on these organisational matters. Akos
and me outlined the 'reference hardware', but I have to confess I missed
the basic but crucial point, that we will run into problems using the
same machine for remastering and testing (if we want to goofy around
with partitioning/ wiping out harddisc). We might figure out to make
this work with 2 harddiscs but ideally we need 2 PCs available:
one for rolling out the CD-remastering environment (where it can be left
for your updating pleasure) and one solely for testing purpose.
What I maybe can offer is starting to utilizing a (currently) unused
machine of mine, which I take with me to prague and leave it there for a
while (but of course I would need it back sooner or later..)
m.
