    This actually goes to my question from earlier today: the RCS-style
    selection functionality would be good for some stations (music stations
    would love it), but not for others (talk and news stations wouldn't need
    it). I'd see it as a fine add-on, personally, with either functionality
    Frans has described.

    So how can we create a framework for those add-ons?

    Robert was talking about;

    "in B92 we have RCS software ( music selector ) that has no fixed music
    genres"

    This brings us to the basic questions for metadata field's
    -do create a software tool to find and plays a song
    -or create a software tool that does it for us like rcs software

  • A "music station" got a format and every "talk station" does have it
    too. Not the same, but the question will be the same - how can we
    support a station to run there format.

    face="Arial Unicode MS">Hi guys,

    style="font-size: 12pt;">At first when I saw the 140 genres list, it
    seemed to me like the worst
    nightmare.

    It  simply didn’t  look complete to me since there
    were many genres repeating and some categories were simply left out.

    style="font-size: 12pt;">Ok, since we are deep inside the software
    creating process, consider
    this only as a comment.

    I completely agree with the proposition that this can
    be our basic genre list and that the users can remove the unnecessary
    ones
    depending on their needs in the radio station.

    style="font-size: 12pt;">

    I mentioned also RCS selector only as a possible idea for importing
    additional categories in the genre list (forget this software
    immediately because
    it is too expensive). Users can also have the possibillity of importing
    some
    extra data or  specific genres or maybe some recording descriptions for
    voice
    or  news audio files - style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;" lang="SR">News ,
