[livesupport-dev] New here + compilation problem

    Hi all,

    I recently discovered this project and I was imediately interested in
    it because I'm starting an internet-radiostation at the moment. So, I
    digged through the available documentation and information on the
    campware website and checked out a copy of livesupport from cvs.
    I ran make setup, but it gave the following error:

    /usr/local/livesupport/modules/core/tmp/configure: line 3242: syntax
    error near unexpected token `LIBXMLPP,libxml++-2.6'
    /usr/local/livesupport/modules/core/tmp/configure: line 3242:
    `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(LIBXMLPP,libxml++-2.6 >= 2.6.0)'
    make: *** [modules_setup] Error 2

    I'm running Debian sarge and I'm almost sure of having all the needed
    packages. Does someone have a solution for this error?

    Regards,

    Bram

    have you followed the getting started documentation, as available here
    http://livesupport.campware.org/public_html/doc/gettingStarted.html (and
    also in the doc directory from the checked out sources)?

    especially the set up tools section, probably you haven't compiled the
    libraries needed.

    but also bear in mind that livesupport at first does not support output
    to streaming servers (as you were writing that you inted to start an
    internet-radio).

    Hi Bram,

    I use Debian Sarge as development system for LiveSupport.
    Just can tell you: it?s possible to compile.
    Attached my (not even short) list of installed packages, maybee this can
    help you to find out whats wrong.
