    charles and robert:

    >Micz : MAIN PANEL what is the blue crossing lines thing in the *now
    >playing* window?
    >
    >That means that the Xfading function is on, but only between the now
    >playing audio file and the next comming audio file.

charles, if i understand robert right, this is only an indicator, not a
button. the mere size of the beast puzzles me. now it is a button - and in
a way it needs to be, so it is coherent.

    >Micz : buttons for transisiton launch not given yet
    >
    >If you think on the unmarked buttons between slots (and that is the X fade
    >option), personally I think it looks better without any icon on it.

i think it is fine the way it is now in the revised version with icons on.
i feel that the outline mode on the crossfade is something new to the
entire interface - is there anything else with outlines? if no, possibly
either an icon or a single line design might be more embedded?

    >Are you thinking on Cue window or Scratch pad? We already have those

    only CUE window.

no, we do not have the unset in and out mode in the CUE window and we need
those. just trust me on this one... from hours of video editind i came to
love the unset in and out buttons. i even came to love them as hotkeys Wink

if i have one wildcard joker in this game, i play it for these two buttons Wink

can you show me this in the design?

    >Do you think it is necessary to display all of the information in the Live

i might want to know. but then that's me - if robert does not think so, i
    drop that bone Wink

    ok

ok. these also need to be included.

yes. and once it is closed the status of the button changes in the live mode.

    >>>1. is there any other status the buttons need?

    ok

    >>>2. if i click the history button in the live mode panel, does the

    ok

    >>>3. if i click the live mode button in the main panel, do live mode AND

    >palette open but not the livemode window, why not? not sure why they would
    >want this, but i'm in favor of greater flexibility if possible.
    >what do you think?

i think the same. it needs to be in the pulldown at least if it is a panel
that can be open on its own. so there we have the argument for the pulldowns Wink

    >with all the other windows in the application. the master palette should
    >be restricted to the main palettes.

    yes.

    over and out,

I think you are wrong. It is not an indicator only, you can click on the
button to check what kind of x-fade is coming up next. There is no other
way to see that except by clicking on that beasty button. I talked to
Robert about it yesterday, and I am 99 percent sure he agrees with me Wink
