    Dear All,

    We are trying to address an old lack of functionality in the upcoming 3.2
    release, so I have compiled a wiki page based on my discussion with Mugur.
    We namely want to introduce something we should have thought about almost
    ten years ago: the author field (we've always had article creator/owner,
    and the assumption had been that people are going to post their own
    articles).

    Dear all,

    our partners chris-network.org are facing strange behavior on newly
    restored instance (from 2.6.7 to 3.1.2). In article listings, 'created by'
    value is confusing them - instead of the names of their staff, there are
    numerous names nobody knows - Sergije Farmakovski, 111, mara, Stefan
    Boricic and what not.

    Articles are correct, with images etc, but 'created by' values are wrong
    in more than 50% of cases.

    I have also noticed that submitted articles (listing on the home admin
    page) creator is changed after restoration, not only on this site, but on
    all that used to have submitted articles - instead of original creator, it
    is changed to some other staff member (usualy my name is there, or zoran
    zivkovic, but also some other situations happened).

    Chris network has some really sensitive information on their online
    publication and are concerned what is going on. Please someone try to
    explain us what is happening.

    Hi,

    I just guess that the restore process does not work right and mess up user
    id's. In the articles table just an user id is stored, and after restore it
    seems another user have the same id. There are 2 or so user tables.

    So don't worry that someone did break into the application, I don't believe
    so.
