    we are creating more and more new system preferences options, as
    consequence of this the system preferences page is looking like the
    attached file. would it be better to create tabs grouping similar
    options?

    Holman,

    I agree that we need to handle these things elegantly in the UI (even more
    pressing are the user rights, if you ask me). But introducing tabs in only
    one part of the interface is not such a great solution. We have to come up
    with a standard way of dealing with this kind of functionality. So I'd
    say, leave it as is for now, unless you have some truly brilliant idea up
    your sleeve.
