The article edit screen has gotten a major overhaul - I can humbly say
that it is way awesome! Go give it a try on http://cs-dev.campware.org/admin/ with the default login.
New features:
- There is a "view mode" and "edit mode". By default (or if you dont
have permissions) you are in view mode. Whichever mode you choose, your
choice will be remembered for the time you are logged in.
- The publishing schedule, images, and topics are visible on this
screen. You attach them via popup windows.
- Its way easier to search for images, and your searchs are remembered.
- You can see all the topics at once, and attach as many topics as you
like all at once.
It is indeed awesome!!! I just have a few observations:
- when in view mode I can still change the publish state of the article
- it's not so obvious how to change the mode to edit; maybe it would be useful
to make the "View" bigger and replace the text with: "Click here to edit the
article"

Yes, I suppose I did that for a couple different reasons. First, for
journalists and editors: they can read the article and submit/publish it
without having to go into edit mode. Second, it is part of the idea of
the "action bar" at the top, where you can perform actions on the
article which do not change the content. "Edit mode" is for changing
the content of the article. (Though I see one inconsistency with this
idea: the "publishing schedule" is only available when in edit mode, and
if people think the "action bar" is a good idea, then perhaps the
"publishing schedule" should also always be available.)
Its certainly open for discussion because I can see it either way...if
others can weigh in on this issue it would be helpful.

Yes, I definitely see this one. I've also thought about making it a
button, maybe with "Switch to Edit Mode" as the text.
