Re: [campsite-dev] Screenshot Sketches for 2.4
  • I like it!

Can I suggest that for the 'topics' stuff you take a page out the the
del.icio.us book and use a bit of an ajaxy approach, rather than a
    separate page or popup?

Also, what happens with the "Comments: 16" thing?

I've looked around that site but cant figure out what you are referring to?

Currently, nothing. It just shows you how many comments there are.
There is going to be a screen to approve comments, so here I was
thinking we would only display them in a popup or something.

  • Add a new item to your delicious. Once you have a few tags in your
collection, it will use matching on what you type in the tags box to
guess the tag which yuo are typing. It also uses what other people have
tagged a URL with to suggest what tags you might want to apply to your
    link. Think Google Suggest.

Re the comments thing, this is certainly something that you'd want to
have centralised for owners of stories, right? So a person logs in and
straight away sees that there have been so-and-so-many comments on their
various articles, then they can go and approve them or edit them or
whatever it is. Maybe another bit of ajax could apply here on the
article page as well -- you could show the first X characters of any new
comments on the article page and have a quick button to expand and show
the whole comment, then permit the comment to be authorised right there?
That will be a nice feature, I reckon.
