• Hi,
I came across with your great products specially campsite. But i'm unable to install it on my shared server. I search in the forum and found that developers planning to release php only version also. In forum reply of same question, developer replied that it will be out in 6 months but more than 6 months gone and there is no such release. When this is expected? any tentetive date?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

as far as I know, PHP only version is not available and will not be in short
    time (3 month).
I believe, that even rewriting the code to PHP will not be sufficient to
have campsite running on hosted environment and it is strongly recommended
    to use dedicated server.
There is a project planning to provide campsite hosting, but it is in the
early stage. Anyways it shall be stable in less than in 3 month.

  • Hi Anand -
I glad to hear you are interested in Campsite! The new date for the
PHP-only is around the beginning of February 2006. Life interfered with
our plans last year and we didnt get as much done as expected. We've
also reorganized the schedule a bit, so we wont be starting that feature
until October/November. We have ties with companies willing to set you
up with a campsite installation for a fee.

  • I can extend my helping hands in terms of time and money for faster development of PHP only version of camsite. This will be a great news for all the opensource community to have facility of running campsite on shared hosting servers. I'm already associated with many opensource projects as developer or community sponsor. So i'm ready to work on this conversion technically also.
Many thanks to Pual & Ondra for replying my message.
    Thanks to all developers.
