CampSite installation problem

    Hi,



    A friend of mine recommended Campsite for us. We tried installing it on a RedHat linux server but we can't proceed more than the module configuration menu.



    We successfully configured the DATABASE and the ADMIN_INTERFACE modules, but we can't do the same with the PARSER and the EVENT_HANDLERS modules.



    We used the following settings for the PARSER module:

    PARSER_THREADS=0

    PARSER_PORT=0

    PARSER_ALLOWED_HOSTS=localhost

    PARSER_USER=apache

    PARSER_GROUP=apache



    it gives us :



    Testing PARSER configurations...ERROR

    Parser process user/group is not the same as apache user/group.



    For the EVENT_HANDLERS module, we used the following settings:



    EVENT_HANDLERS_SMTP_SERVER=localhost



    we get:

    Testing EVENT_HANDLERS configuration...ERROR

    Error sending message: 522 sorry, your envelope sender domain must exist (#5.7.1)



    Any clues on how to solve these mis-configurations so we can test CampSite?

    Hi,

    Please let me know what campsite version did you try to install? Please try the
    latest campsite:
    http://www.campware.org/look/campware/download/campsite-2.1.6-rc1.tar.gz

    Also, please send me the apache configuration files (usually they are in
    /etc/httpd/conf) so I can debug.

    I suppose the apache user/password in the apache configuration files was set to
    something else than apache/apache. Campsite install scripts detect
    automatically the apache user/group in order to avoid configuration mistakes.
