we need to upgrade a system to run on campsite using the mac OSX to edit
texts. i remember that there was some 'hurrah' on the list for a version
that worked with OSX no problem. any idea from which version onwards this
is the case?

As OSX is derived from FreeBSD, I would use the latest 2.1.6-rc1
It needs small hack on FreeBSD (very small) but I have no idea how does it
behave on OSX, But I would vote for this one

you are talking of two different things. while csite could probably be
hacked to work with OSX, what micz is asking is which campfire works with
OSX. The latest should work.
