Optimizing meta tags for google

    Hi everybody,

    i've implemented meta tags for google, and i done the meta description in this way:



    ("corpo" means body in italian)

    My problem is that if there is a link or an image in the first 200 chars, it becomes a messy. Can i concatenate an escape after the truncate to clean the html code? And a even better way, there is a way to take off any html code from the field? for the description i need plain text.
