how is it defined what is the newest issue, section or article?
Is it the number of the issue? Or the date when it has been saved or
published?
We have some trouble getting the real newest articles visible and for
example I realised that when I make a new article for testing purposes
it gives in the top right corner of the article editing "Saved:
1970- ..." that is a typical computer date when there is no date
defined really.
And this testing article, although for sure is the newest doesn't come
visible but some other articles. I put also listing to show only the
last one by having "list_articles length="1" ..." but I get some older
article there.
The current (newest) issue is the issue which is published and has the
greatest number.
The sections are ordered be the section number order in the section lists.
The articles are ordered by default by the article order in the section when
the section was defined. If the section was not defined the articles are
ordered by:
- publication id (asc)
- issue number (desc)
- section number (asc)
- section order (asc)
So if you created a new article and published it there are two ways of
having it as the first item in an article list:
- put the article in the first position in the section and list articles
from the article section (no custom order)
- if the article was not on the first position in the section specify the
order in the articles list:
a. order="byNumber desc"
b. order="byCreationDate desc"
In your case I think you have a corrupted database; I tested creating new
articles and immediately after creation the field "saved" in the top right
corner shows up the proper creation date.

Thanks Mugur once again!
I keep reading this and testing. I also installed Campsite locally in
my mac (and it was VERY easy).
So the comparison between the local installation and the real site may
tell some more on the problems.
