Airtime 2.5.1 installation breaks on Debian 9 (Stretch) on PIP – Please, help
  • I have a question. I'm trying to install Airtime (for personal use) from the Wheezy Sourcefabric APT on Debian Stretch and the minimal installation breaks at PIP:

    root@localhost:~/tmp/usr/share/keyrings# /var/lib/airtime/tmp/install_minimal/airtime-install -d
    * Making sure /etc/default/locale is set properly
    LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
     * None found.
    * Temporarily stopping any previous running services

    ******************************** Install Begin *********************************
    Ensuring python-virtualenv version > 1.4.8...Success!

    *** Creating Virtualenv for Airtime ***
    Running virtualenv with interpreter /usr/bin/python
    New python executable in /usr/lib/airtime/airtime_virtualenv/bin/python
    Installing setuptools, pkg_resources, pip, wheel...done.

    *** Installing Python Libraries ***
    Invalid requirement: '/var/lib/airtime/tmp/python_apps/python-virtualenv/airtime_virtual_env.pybundle'
    It looks like a path. Does it exist ?

    How can I solve this issue? Everything was working well on Debian Jessie but not after the upgrade from 8 to 9.
    The problem seems to be with " /usr/lib/airtime/airtime_virtualenv/bin/pip install airtime_virtual_env.pybundle"

    Thank you!

  • Running part of the code individually:

    root@localhost:/var/lib/airtime/tmp/python_apps/python-virtualenv# /usr/lib/airtime/airtime_virtualenv/bin/pip2 install airtime_virtual_env.pybundle
    Collecting airtime_virtual_env.pybundle
      Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement airtime_virtual_env.pybundle (from versions: )
    No matching distribution found for airtime_virtual_env.pybundle
