The current version of airtime available in the Ubuntu repositories is 2.5.1-6 - does this have a corresponding version in github?
2.5.x perhaps?

Hi James, the -6 part refers to the increment of the Debian packaging, the upstream version is 2.5.1 which corresponds to the 2.5.x branch on GitHub as you suggest, but an older tag. As I recall, it was https://github.com/sourcefabric/airtime/releases/tag/airtime-2.5.1a
