Autotweeter that tweets Airtime SHOWS (Now & Next) from the JohnnyC's Extended Airtime API
  • Can be seen working here: https://twitter.com/DeprogRadio
    image

    WHAT IT DOES:

    1. Fires every 5 minutes (adjustable in cron job)
    2. Tweets the current show title when has just started and the next show.
    3. Only tweets when the show changes.
    4. Does checking to avoid multiple tweets and over thength tweets (trimes them if needed)
    5. Easily alterable.

    NOTES:
    • The code writes two small tracking files into /usr/share/airtime/public/airtime-show-twittercaster/ so make sure the folder is writeable by the owner of the cron job.
    • REQUIRES PHP CLI to be installed (It probably is).

    INSTRUCTIONS:
    1. Put the whole folder in /usr/share/airtime/public/
    2. Edit the top lines of tweet.php to match your credentials.
    3. Create a new cron job like this that fires every 5 minutes
    php /usr/share/airtime/public/airtime-show-twittercaster/tweet.php
