Hello, I'm running Airtime 2.5.2.1 on Debian 7.5 ; Watched folders work fine except that they do not ever notice files added / modified / deleted. Rescanning by clicking the circling arrow in Airtime works fine. Restarting service airtime-media-monitor forces the rescan, too.
I'm running on ext4, is it supposed to work ? It's as if "inotify" notifications never reach airtime, nothing appears in any log when I add a file in a watched folder (unless I rescan, of course)
Ok so I might be wrong but I think thats how it was meant to be.
If you have the same set of songs the system will scan it to see if any is missing and then update your playlist that those are no longer available.
If you add new songs to a particular folder it need to manually rescan.
From a technical from my point of view its not really an update database scan but a check folder scan.
Might be wrong but I have remove files from a folder and add new ones ,what i had to do was removed the folder, then add back that folder for airtime to see the new songs.
I think I read it somewhere search the forum for watch folder
