Simply adding NFS mounts with mp3's
  • Hello all,

Ive been trying to figure  this out for weeks now, basically i have a remote synology nas with all mp3's in directories.
I thought i could simply add each directory to media folders and the mp3's would show up under library or something but where am i supposed to see all my mp3's? i dont wanna copy or move mp3 files i simply wanna play them where they are.

I basically added the following (each dir includes mp3's):

    Current Import Folder:/nfs/music/airtime/
    and
    /nfs/music/beatport//nfs/music/clubhouse_2014//nfs/music/clubhouse_2012//nfs/music/jingles/fuzion/

  • Also i tried checking MONIT to see what each process is doing but for media monitor i get:
    Nameairtime-media-monitor
    Pid file/var/run/airtime-media-monitor.pid
    StatusDoes not exist
  • Since i cant seem to edit a post decently on these forums, here another post with what i see for airtime-media-monitor status:

  • I seem to have solved most of the above by manually changing all files to UTF8 as mentioned in: https://forum.sourcefabric.org/discussion/14446/resolved-installation-issue/p1#sthash.QEgHvg62.dpuf
  • Go to System ==>Media Folders

You will see a block to add watchfolders

    Chose Folder and then Add

Now you will see the files in your library
