search problem

    Dear Support, All;

    I have installed the campsite 3.0.1 with template 4 in my debian machine for testing. I setup a new publication with Arabic language. I have added Issues, sections, and articles to the new publication. Now I'm having a problem in the search form, whenever I do a search in the new publication (which is Arabic) I get no results. But when I do the search on the English publication I get some results. Is there a way to do a search in the Arabic publications and issues? Thanks

    Hello ybani,

    We had this problem before. It has to do with the page encoding of the search page. If your search box is on the homepage, please make sure that the homepage encoding matches the database encoding. For example, if the database encoding is Unicode (which is true most of the time), make sure that the page is in unicode not Windows-1256 encoding.

    If you need further help, send me the URL and I'll check the encoding and make sure if its correct or not.
