Hey there! Anyone know a good lightweight Icecast Source app that'll run on Wheezy without a window manager? Ideally looking for something just a step up from a straight CLI app if you know what I mean. Thanks!

Airtime may not (yet) but Liquidsoap has the ability to patch in an external icecast2 source and layer it on top of a scheduled local file, right?

Wouldn't it be neat if remote DJs could connect to the Airtime server at a highly efficient voice-only bitrate (say ~32k) but leave all of the music in the central Airtime cloud library? Then your remote dude or dudette out in the field only has to maintain a super-low bit connection in crowded networks. And if the connection drops, the music itself won't sputter or mute.

you can do that
put music into your show and activate show source on it
when stream is deactivated music coming back

It's possible to have a sound file or two playing from a local Airtime server with a remote DJ piped in over top??
