using airtime as a source to schedule the triggering live shows

    Hi,
    i contribute to a community radio.
    i have set up a remote icecast server to broadcast an audio playlists (mp3)
    i would like to use live handover feature of icecast in order to let airtime to feed live webcasts at scheduled time.

    whenever airtime output is configured to send to icecast live mount point a live webcast, it works but when airtime has nothing to send, icecast is not able to fall back to the stream mount point as it would normally do if butt is used instead of airtime.

    wonder if anyone has a quick fix for this to work...

    Now here are the fixes.

    Scenario 1- dj to stream directly without going through Airtime
    Let say you want your dj to stream directly without going through Airtime ,just let your dj

    use Mount point live ,
    if you donot want to share the Icecast main source password then set an authentication   by replacing the information in the example like this

     <mount>
            <mount-name>/live.ogg</mount-name>
            <username>othersource</username>
            <password>hackmemore</password>
            <fallback-mount>/airtime_128</fallback-mount>
            <fallback-override>1</fallback-override>
            <hidden>0</hidden>
       </mount>

    Scenario 2- dj to stream directly going through Airtime

    Go to the listen socket section and name another socket like 8800

    set a mount point  for your  dj
    <mount>
            <mount-name>/mydj.ogg</mount-name>
            <username>source</username>
            <password>hackmemore</password>
           
       </mount>

    notice no failover information etc

    now your you have username=source,password=hackmemore,port=8800,mount point=mydj.ogg

    Now go to master in the stream settings and set up  the information above and your dj in their clients

    Scenario 3- dj to stream directly going through Airtime - different server

    Just set up icecast on any machine as a server and have your dj stream to that server and pull the information from that,even a rasberry pi can use

    Scenario 4 - modified script

    Modify your ls script and use the habor server in liquidsoap like this example Dynamic input with harbor
