Hi, we're a small over-the-air community radio station with non-technical volunteer onair hosts, who pre-record almost all their voice tracks in advance of actual broadcast. In other words, our scheduling software will create a music schedule, and then our hosts will then pre-record voice tracks into the schedule in between the songs ("...that was the Beatles with Love Me Do...coming up next, The Who, with Baba O'Riley."). The audio plays out from our Windows XP box sound card to our mixing board, then out to the transmitter.

We've been using Digital Jukebox as our radio automation, voice tracking, and scheduling all-in-one software solution.  As the tech consultant for these folks, I'm wondering whether Airtime might be a viable option to use instead.  Our criteria are as follows:

1. Has to be able to schedule random music from certain categories.  Right now, for instance, our Digital Jukebox software has templates for each hour in our day, and in those templates, it'll say "play a song from the '60's Fast' category, then play a song from the '70's Slow' category, then play a song from the 'Maritime Favourites' category, etc."  When we create schedules for each day, the computer will look at that template and randomly pick songs that have been marked as being in those categories.

2. Allow hosts to pre-record voice tracks into the schedule, as described above.

3. Allow hosts to, on certain occasions, interrupt the schedule and do their voice tracks on the air live rather than via pre-recording, via a simple process that a non-technical person can figure out how to do.

Is all that something Airtime can do?
