Publish schedule doesn't work

Schedule an article to be published at the specified date and time. An event is listed in the Publish Schedule area of the article edit page. Wait until the date and time has passed. The event is no longer there, but the article's status is still Submitted. I tried this also in the Newscoop demo with the same results. The articles scheduled to be published doesn't get published so they have to be published manually.
