I've installed Campsite 2.6.7 from FreeBSD Ports Collection, and now what? I think campsite it's a big idea, but the absence of a complete set of demo templates cannot attract the final client. I've found from the http://www.campware.org/en/camp/campsite_news/690/ 5 attractive templates. It's not clear to me from where should i take them. In my version (2.6.7) are not included. I've already created users and one pubblication (one issue with several sections and some articles), but i cannot see anything. Finally the article-types (are included in your demo?) should be mensioned in the demo templates? Can i import templates from other platforms? (I found that the extension .tpl is common to other php-mysql platforms but i think campsite uses his own sintassi or not?
Hi,
you should understand, that .tpl in campsite is the same as .html, but
the language is expanded by campsite vocabulary.
The campsite publication is set of:
1) template set
2) database
3) images and file attachments (which are added when you insert them
into your publication)
Therefore install of demo template set is easy. Download template set
you like, put .tpl files into /look and drop your database and create
new one, populate it with database dump of the template set and that
is it.
Than you can modify every aspect of the publication.
The templates are tightly connected to article types and the
publication structure, so yes, demo templates are in fact demo
publications including all you need.
