Need serious help - multiple dj´s - Airtime Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

Hi everyone,

I have a internetradio station and I have Airtime installed.

We are 4 dj´s/ hosts, but so far we havent been able to get Airtime to work with the function where we can "override" the master.
So untill now we have made the switching from airtime to a dj/ host manually... but NOW we want it to work.

Example/ Setup today:

Airtime is running and I want to stream live from my computer.
I log in to Airtime, disconnect the stream in Airtime and connect with winamp (DSP plugin) to my shoutcast server from my computer instead.

How we want it to be:

Airtime is running and I want to stream live from my computer.

I can NOT use Mixxx or IDJC because I use Serato Dj connected to my Dj-controller, so that is NOT an option.

Which other program(s) can I use to connect to MasterSource and ShowSource?

I have tried B.U.T.T, but I couldn´t get it to work either.

My main Shoutcast port is: 8004 then I have port 8002 as the Master Source and port 8006 as the Show Source.

What am I missing?

Can someone please guide me so we can get it to work?

master username must be "source"

your problem seems to be a dns resolution not a configuration problem

I have removed the http:// in BUTT and now it says:

Please note that I know that portnumber in BUTT is 8001, and should be 8002, which I also testet, but the result is the same. Cant connect and it still says: Connecting to Radiobroadcast.djj.dk:8003 (8002)...

really stange, I've tryed (with a wrong password, of course ;-)
and that's working for me ...

We are about getting a deal with a nightclub, sending live from them so I need this 2 be fixed... :(

I just have no clue.

It really looks like a DNS-error. You can bypass this in using public IP instead of DNS-name
try 94.143.9.104 instead of radiobroadcast.djj.dk , this seems to be your public IP.

I also suggest not to use port 8001 or 8002 for incoming source and reserve ports 8000-8003 for Output-Streams.
You can also try out http://www.canyouseeme.org , to see if your portforwarding works properly.

So it´s not a DNS issue - that part is solved.

Our server are setup to recieve signal on port 8000, 8002, 8004, 8005 og 8006 - and they are all open wide...

shoutcast is configured to stream on 2 continuous ports (for exemple 8000 and 8001, 8002 and 8003, etc)

and when I try to can yours ports from 8000 to 8008, my scanner says "port is closed" ...

but effectively .104 seems to be the good one

try another thing

with butt put streamer on icecast, give a mountpoint (the same into artime) and try again

The Mount points are incorrect remove the .pls

chose two different mountpoint Master could be studiolive Show could be djlive without .pls

Set BUTT to be IP/ Hostname to be your Airtime Server not the Icecast/shoutcast server [Unless they are on the same Machine]

radiobroadcast.djj.dk would have to be resolved via host file or DNS for this to work

ps futher clarification

If your Airtime Server is on Your LAN 192.XXX.XXX.XXX then that is the IP you use.(you can also use the Host name)

If it is remotely (say radiobroadcast.djj.dk ) in another location you have to make sure all the ports you are sending BUTT Through are Open on the Remote (radiobroadcast.djj.dk )

If radiobroadcast.djj.dk is a public address/domain then you have to have something resolved that name like a router or a firewall or DNS server etc. and you need to edit your host file
