Newscoop 4.2 release includes new API, responsive theme and Arabic translations

    Hello Newscoop community!Newscoop 4.2 has been released with a new REST API,  responsive themes, updated Cookbook for web designers, and a focus on the Arabic-speaking world with a backend localization and user manual translated into Arabic.Newscoop now has an API that provides access to content for third-party applications via read-only services. Known as Gimme API, it can fetch content, organise them (in featured article lists, or by sections and topic), and then be displayed as widgets on any site (here’s how). Our new, magazine-style theme, Quetzal, is available in the latest version of Newscoop, plus we updated Rockstar and The New Custodian themes to be fully responsive and stable! With the overhauled theme-builders Cookbook, http://sourcefabric.booktype.pro/newscoop-42-cookbook/ready-to-cook/, designing news site themes is as easy as coding basic HTML. The Cookbook offers lots of practical and advanced tips on how to stand out from the crowd. With the help of our amazing community, we localized the entire Newscoop interface and translated the Newscoop user manual.
