Airtime-Liquidsoap and Debian Wheezy
  • Hello

    I just started using, sort of, Airtime and I'm having a hell of a time getting it to work.  When I run airtime-check-system I get the following:

    I know I'm doing something wrong but cannot figure it out.  Once again I'm running Wheezy, is this supported?  At first I was installing under KDE but odbc-posgresql wanted KDE deleted.  I then removed KDE and installed fluxbox but now this.

  • Why Wheezy? You should use Ubuntu/Precise or Debian/Squeeze if you want to minimize headaches. :)
  • I know but the problem I have is:

    I have 1 server
    Debian Squeeze has limited up to date sw
    I like Debian
    and I tried Ubuntu but its not for me.

    So I have to stay and fight with it.

  • Well, Wheezy/Testing doesn't have the security checking behind it that a true release like Squeeze has... and Ubuntu is the true platform of choice for this project anyway... :)
  • So what does that mean?  Is Wheezy not supported thus will not work?  I'm sure there is someone out there that is running it on Wheezy, it can't be just me.
  • Hi its me again.

    I saw some where in this forum a mention of a Sourcefabric repository for Debian.  can someone let me know what the lines are for my source.list?  I would like to try getting the deb from Sourcefabric and no where else.  If this does not work I'll try an earler version.

    Thanks

    It's "/etc/apt/sources.list".
    Cloud Radio -> http://airtime.pro
  • Hi Cliff
    I was looking for the line that goes in the sources.list. It should start with "deb"

    You mean "deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ wheezy main"?
    Cloud Radio -> http://airtime.pro
  • Thanks, that's what I need.  Also if I wanted an older version where would I get it?
  • OK, this is not working for me.

    I think I'll use a Windows based one running on VirtualBox XP.  Thanks for all the help everyone.  So sad.

  • So I got this working.  I installed Squeeze, could not downgrade from Wheezy,  Then installed Airtime.  Airtime worked, then I upgraded to Wheezy and it still works.

    I have a few questions about the play list and adding assets but that will be in another post.

  • Hello

    I have problem with installation airtime on Debian Wheezy.
    According to airtime-check-system i can suppose that it is connected with liquidsoap.

    I try to install it using script for installation with nginx. But now, i almost sure that nginx is not problem here.

    Hi Ruslan, as you are running on a virtual machine and using nginx instead of Apache, you might have to do some tweaking. Firstly, you need to make sure nginx is running correctly and serving the Airtime API. The Airtime version check should not be failing.

    Cheers!

    Daniel
  • nginx is running correctly, but i recieve blank page (and airtime orange arrow favicon) trying to obtain access to airtime control panel. There is not login page, only white blank page.
