I followed the instructions here: https://wiki.sourcefabric.org/display/CC/Building+Liquidsoap+from+Source

After trying to run the command to send the test tone to icecast I had an error

mediashout@Mediashout:/usr/local/src/liquidsoap-full/liquidsoap/src$ ./liquidsoap 'output.icecast(%vorbis, mount="test.ogg", sine())'
./liquidsoap: error while loading shared libraries: libshine.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I had followed the instructions to make libshine

The/my solution was to run 'sudo ldconfig' to update the cache.

Also note that the test line won't work if you have modified the default source login for icecast. ie liquidsoap will fail to connect to icecast2.

Thanks for posting that. It's strange that you needed to run ldconfig to get the make file to recognize the shine library - I haven't seen that yet.
