[RESOLVED] NO Crossfade on backup playlist with Airtime 2.3 - Airtime Development Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

Since I've made change into ls_script.liq to have jingle and backup playlist I've loose crossfade between songs.

any ideas to re-implement it ?

promotions = playlist (mode='random', "/srv/airtime/Jingles/")
timed_promotions = delay(900.,promotions)
default = fallback([timed_promotions,playlist (mode='random', "/srv/airtime/Musiques/")])

jingles are diffused every 15minutes (900 seconds)

Hi Martin,

In fact after a reboot this morning (kernel update ;-)
titles come back ;-)
but ls_script have changed and adapting it for bakup playlist and jingles don't work exactly as before...
but this first script :

promotions = playlist (mode='random', "/srv/airtime/Jingles/")
timed_promotions = delay(1200.,promotions)
default = fallback([timed_promotions, crossfade_airtime(playlist (mode='random', "/srv/airtime/Musiques/"))])

is a first solution
I think people can adapt and improve it

another thing to add :

clock = playlist (mode='normal', "/srv/airtime/Hours/")
radio = add([radio, switch([({0m0s},clock)])])

another "bug" with this modification

show's name no longer appears in icecast despite the fact that they diffused properly

but now i'm loosing title information from my backup playlist...

if someone have an idea ...

my corrected script (with airtime crossfade function :-)

default = fallback([timed_promotions, crossfade_airtime(playlist (mode='random', "/srv/airtime/Musiques/"))])

on_metadata(notify, playlist)

but how I can insert it ?

Hi Albert,

The changes from 2.2 and 2.3 aren't too different for the Liquidsoap scripts. What is the entire code that you've added?

With this config jingle played once at the start, and all continue to play random music without jingle.

Albert, do you have a link to the current version of your script? I'd like to look at what you've done with the jingle rotation, but I'm having a heck of a time finding a full copy of your modifications. Thanks!
