  • Hi ! Will it include the following feature?

"Create a show with dynamic smart block and then repeat it (no end) so Airtime would generate content meeting block criteria each time show is played?"

No, this feature is planned for the 2.4 release in march.

Click on your username in the top right corner.
What is the timezone setting there? The UI should reflect this timezone.
Can you please confirm if this is the case?

The Default Interface Timezone on Preferences page is used to set the timezone setting when new users are created.

Confirmed! Wasn't expecting the user-level time settings. Thank you! Maybe I missed it (or it didn't take?) but think about adding a default timezone selection in the initial settings configuration.
  • ... Timezone settings should be added to the System>Users—Manage Users menu, too. :)

I don't recall having this problem with this build:

  • If a folder with tracks scheduled to play (smart or not) is deleted from the filesystem itself, what's the expected behavior on 2.3? Should just go to the next track available, right?
  • Hi SF!

I was running airtime 2.2.1 under Ubuntu 12.04 (actually its KXStudio 12.04.1) installed from the SF PPA but I was unable to get 'Add Media' to work from within the Airtime web interface running under Firefox (17.0.1) - I just get the error

"This file appears to be corrupted and will not be added to media library."

with every MP3 and WAV file I have tried and I know they are not corrupt as they play fine. Some may have missing or incorrect metadata but could that cause this error? I updated with the 2.3 rc2 package above but I still have the same problem whilst "sudo airtime-check-system" says everything is OK.

I have been successful in adding MP3s and WAVs to airplay using the airtime-import command as root but doing it this way (maybe via SSH) really isn't going to be a practical solution for our DJs and hosts who are mostly far from being considered remotely techie so we really need the web interface to work for adding media.

Also, I have seen recommendations for what apps to use to correct or add MP3 metadata but I have not found a spec or example of what Airtime requires to be happy and what is the command to show the existing character encoding used in a MP3 ID3 tag?

    Thanks for your help!

Is it possible to upgrade from v2.3.0RC2 to the following official release? Or just the database, via import-export-commands? Is it safe? Or is it not advisable?

I'm just asking, because I want to test my implemented translation, but also want to prepare our new Radio Automation Server for going Live in march.

  • Hi Martin,

Thanks for all the work you guys are doing.

Do you know if there will be a way in 2.3.0 to convert the existing library to having it's cue points automatically set?

    Thanks.
