Build Playlist All Musics?
  • Hello,

I asked on this forum, almost one year ago, about a feature that allow us to make a playlist with all musics stored on the server.
The answer was that such tool was nonexistent.

Andrey, tell me, there is anyway that I can build playlists like on Icecast?

On Icecast I used to do this:

    find / -name *.mp3 > playlist.txt

Is there such solution for Airtime??
I have really lots of musics and I must make a big playlist to make it repeats.

Maybe a script that adds all uploaded musics for a single playlist?

    Read the topic here: http://forum.sourcefabric.org/discussion/13539/airtime-playlists-know-how/p1

So, my question now is the same: is it possible, or not?

    Thank you

Please try Dynamic Smart Block, you can set criteria as "mime" contains "mp3", which means all mp3 files in Library.

Yes, it's a new feature of Airtime 2.2.

Basically, all mp3 files in Library have the same mime type: audio/mp3. So you can create a Smart Block base on that criteria to collect all mp3 files to a smart block.

Please take a look at this video about new features in Airtime 2.2.

  • Cliff, I was reading new features about that new release, thank you.

Researching, I just realized that my Airtime version is 1.9 and it seems that "2.2" v. only supports upgrades from "2.0"+

    So, is it true?
I would need to reinstall a fresh version of Airtime on my server??

I have no idea on how to do that, since it was installed on a very complex way.

The quick answer would be upgrade to 2.1.3 or 2.0.3 at first, then 2.2, but I'm not sure how complex your environment is.

You can find the old version at here
