Maintenance Mode

    Is there any way to enable some form of maintenance mode; I would like to build/design the site without it being reflected on the live domain, and I don't have the capabilities for a local installation. Much thanks!

    create additional publication and define separate domain alias
    assign theme

    Edit: I created a subdomain, and an alias pointing to it; however, the publication does not appear at the new subdomain. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or would the problem lie in my installation?

    Any advice? From what I can see, it appears that the alias needs to match the installation location; does this imply that I *can't* create a subdomain to use as an alias? I'm not sure if I am understanding your post correctly.

    If the sub-domain is working Ok pointing to the same Web server and the alias was created in Newscoop, then the publication should be available via that new sub-domain.
