2 friends and I are having a small radio-station where we normally mix in Traktor, and send our stream out via Winamp Shoutcast.
Current setup: Airtime playes when we dont play live shows. When we want to send live, we log in to Airtime, stop the stream/ connection to our Shoutcast and then connect from Winamp Shoutcast on our computer instead.
1. How do we send the signal from Traktor to Airtime so our listeners dont need to refresh their browser?
I think the best solution is to cut the second computer out of the equation. From what I understand, Traktor is able to connect to an Icecast server directly. You are going to use your Master Stream setting from Airtime as the Icecast server connection information. For example, here is my Airtime Master Source information:
I've never used Traktor before but I've read that it has an option to stream to Icecast. You should enable that and break down your master source address as such:
Yes I have looked at the manual at the link you referred to.
To be honest - we are "dummies" regarding these things...
As it it right now, we have a Shoutcast server. And winamp with a DSP ShoutCast Plugin.
My question is:
How can we connect a remote source (Dj using Traktor) and connect to Airtime, which then streams to our website? Which settings do we have to do?
Here´s the setup today.
Computer 1: Dj using Traktor. (The Sound/ Output goes to Computer 2.)
Computer 2: Takes the input from computer 1 and via Winamp with DSP plugin streams it to our Shoutcast server...
The Shoutcast server then streams it to our player on our website.
When we use Airtime, we go in and connect it to the Shoutcast server in Stream Settings before use, and disconnect it again when we want to send live shows.
This results in that our listeners need to refresh our player betwen programs.
We would love to use the new feature with the Master Source, but like I said before - we are dummies regarding the tech-stuff - we know how to play music....
