Hi everyone ;)

As all here, when we using icecast (you can find a lot of apps for shoutcast...) have statistics is not a sinecure ...

monitorix, munin, cacti don't give real datas understandable... for the lambda people

do you know a good solution ? open source ?

Hi Albert,

I managed to create some PHP scripts that parse Icecast XML statistics into an SNMP response, so I can add them as a custom OID to the SNMP daemon which run on the streaming machine. Then I can query that OID with Cacti, see:

(click on RPR on top-left if you don't get streaming graph).

that's working fine , do you distribute it ?

but, my idea is to have an integrated solution to airtime
For non informatics people I'm not sure cacti, munin or monitorix are good solutions.

Sure I can share, just give me a little time! :)

I think that my simple PHP scripts can be easly converted so that they integrate directly into Airtime to give a real time reading of connected listeners. To have to reimplement all the RRD stuff, that would be a different story...
