Ubuntu Precise packages
  • Hi

I wanted to try out Airtime again on my shiny new virtual instance of Ubuntu Precise.
When I had a look at http://apt.sourcefabric.org/dists/ I noticed that you didn't have a precise directory, but I went ahead and followed your
install instructions anyway. They work perfectly allright, but my concern about the mising dists-packages were correct.

This gives this error which is understandable on apt-get install airtime:

Would you kindly be able to provide Precise packages also, so that the install-guide instructions will work?
I have already downloaded the latest beta and are playing around with it, which works great, but for other people it might not be that straight forward.

A suggestion would be to add the following installation instructions for Precise users, until you add a Precise repository in dists:

or the recent beta-package, for the brave
    gdebi airtime_2.1.0-1_all.deb

    edit: airtime_2.1.0-1 works perfectly. Incredible

Airtime 2.0.3 isn't compatible with Ubuntu 12.04 Precise. Only Airtime 2.1 will be introduced for Precise.
  • Ah, okay, that's why =) Thanks for the reply

When we released Airtime 2.0.3, it was compatible with the Ubuntu Precise beta. Unfortunately Canonical made some changes afterwards which broke the package.

We released Airtime RC2 today, so give that a try :)

  • I tried to use airtime-easy-setup (2.2.1-1) on Ubuntu 12.04 which tried to install airtime (2.3.0-1), and everything went smooth until the configuration process, basically it seems it's stuck at

    Setting defaults for non-interactive installation...

and never goes beyond that step nor gives any error, any help?

Currently we also use Ubuntu 12.04 x64 for our Airtime-Teststation. For now with no problems.
Is this not recommended? Should we go live with 10.04 (we want LTS)?
