UPGRADE 1.9.5 => 2.0.0 : liquidsoap doesn't start, and no log :-(
  • Hi,

    I upgraded from airtime 1.9.5 to 2.0.0 with manual installation (minimal).

    Everything ran good with DB and almost everything... but liquidsoap :-(
    I checked all I found, but I don't understand why pypo can't run liquidsoap.
    And there's no log into /var/log/airtime/pypo-liquidsoap/ls_script.log.

    A few infos:
    # airtime-check-system
    AIRTIME_STATUS_URL             = http://localhost/api/status/format/json/api_key/%%api_key%%
    AIRTIME_SERVER_RESPONDING      = OK
    KERNEL_VERSION                 = 2.6.38-8-generic-pae
    MACHINE_ARCHITECTURE           = i686
    TOTAL_MEMORY_MBYTES            = 1024412
    TOTAL_SWAP_MBYTES              = 1046524
    AIRTIME_VERSION                = 2.0.0
    OS                             = Ubuntu 11.04 i686
    CPU                            = Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz
    WEB_SERVER                     = Apache/2.2.17 (Ubuntu)
    PLAYOUT_ENGINE_PROCESS_ID      = 727
    PLAYOUT_ENGINE_RUNNING_SECONDS = 15
    PLAYOUT_ENGINE_MEM_PERC        = 0.8%
    PLAYOUT_ENGINE_CPU_PERC        = 0.0%
    LIQUIDSOAP_PROCESS_ID          = FAILED
    LIQUIDSOAP_RUNNING_SECONDS     = -1
    LIQUIDSOAP_MEM_PERC            = 0%
    LIQUIDSOAP_CPU_PERC            = 0%
    MEDIA_MONITOR_PROCESS_ID       = 17511
    MEDIA_MONITOR_RUNNING_SECONDS  = 503
    MEDIA_MONITOR_MEM_PERC         = 0.9%
    MEDIA_MONITOR_CPU_PERC         = 0.6%
    SHOW_RECORDER_PROCESS_ID       = 17501
    SHOW_RECORDER_RUNNING_SECONDS  = 503
    SHOW_RECORDER_MEM_PERC         = 0.8%
    SHOW_RECORDER_CPU_PERC         = 0.0%
    RABBITMQ_PROCESS_ID            = 840
    RABBITMQ_RUNNING_SECONDS       = 2779
    RABBITMQ_MEM_PERC              = 1.5%
    RABBITMQ_CPU_PERC              = 0.0%

    So everything but Liquidsoap is OK

    And then: when I restart with
     # /etc/init.d/airtime-playout restart
    Restarting Airtime Playout: start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 3159: No such process
    Done.

    Can you help me finding why liquidsoap can't neither start nor log?

    Hi nicolas,

    Have you made some modifications to liquidsoap (ls_script.liq ?
  • I have the same problem too and i run it from Firefox 10 if that makes sense. I can't figure out what the problem is either.
  • Hi,

    What is the output of "ps aux | grep liquidsoap" ?
