Sourcefabric Extend News Design Contest Deadline

    Hi all,

    We've extended the deadline of our global news design contest to 1800h GMT on October 7th 2011.

    Designers and templaters are asked to send in mock-ups of news sites that invent fresh ways to display journalistic content, integrate comments, incorporate social media and adapt site design to mobiles and tablets.

    We'd particularly welcome entries from anyone who has worked on a Newscoop site - feel free to send in full templates or just photoshop files.

    Winners get plane tickets to historic Prague, where they'll get checked into an exclusive hotel and then escorted to the Mediafabric 2011 conference to meet some of the world's leading media experts. Their design will be showcased at the conference and online, and winners will get a further two days of workshops to refine and implement their design with a team of news professionals.
