failed to open temp directory - Airtime Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

i have installed the airtime 1.8 last release, in a mac mini powerpc G4 with ubuntu compiled for this porcessor architecture. everything seems to be fine but when i try to upload a file:

"failed to open temp directory"

what am i doing wrong?.

Also i run airtime in a mac mini 1Ghz with 1Gb memory Ram, it does fine to stream to one streaming server on internet and to play throught the audio outline to the main broadcast system.

is it also fine for simultaneous users, let say four managing the schedule?. Thanks a lot. sincerisly.

did you set your temp directory in your php.ini file?

it should be at this part of the wiki

Find the line:
upload_tmp_dir =

and set it to:
upload_tmp_dir = /tmp

yes i did... exactly like in the guide is.

what are the file permissions on the folder? The default could be different on a mac, this install is only tested for ubuntu.

These are the permissions on my tmp folder

drwxrwxrwt 11 root root

Hi,

I'm just curious, are you running PHP as an apache module or as cgi?

Is there anything in /var/log/apache2/error.log complaining about "php_value" ?

i install ubuntu in a mac mini, so i am running ubuntu 10.04.

Yes, Airtime is meant to be used by multiple simultaneous users.

so im having this error also, have changed the line in my php.ini

have relaunched apache2, what else do i need to relaunch?

running under debian squezze. tx.

nevermind, now is working.. i can upload after reloading apache and my browser.

how do i reload or relaunch the php? are both the same action?

fix it. just remove the ";" in the php file before defining php path to /tmp.
