Moving from the 1.7 dev environment to packaged version?

    Hi,

    Now that the 1.7 packages are here (or should be shortly), what's the best way to move from the development environment version of 1.7 to the packaged version? Do I have to completely reinstall the OS? What should the steps be?

    Hi Doug,

    I would just call

    sudo php airtime-uninstall.php


    from the airtime/install directory. You can also delete the entire airtime directory if you wish, but the default location of the audio library is stored in this location, so make sure you are ok with deleting that as well.

    After, just install the package.

    Be warned if you run uninstall, you will delete your database!

    OK, I've heard there is a backup/restore function in 1.7. Can you tell me more about where this is before I wipe my install?

    Hey Doug,

    That backup/restore system only works with the old campcaster. Unfortunately Airtime is not there yet. Please create a ticket for this.
