No remote login post update 2.0.1

Hi guys after upgrading to 2.0.1 I can no longer login remotly. I get the following when I go to our server -

So something is obviously missing on some lines of the config files but I don't know what. Can someone help?

I would like to tag terms in my book to be included in an index but can no longer find instructions in the documentation. I thought I saw that feature once. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

User read content restrictions

I've searched a lot and failed to find anything about user restrictions,
whether it's Dj, Program manger or guest, they all have default user
settings which cannot be edited. My question is: is there any
possibility to restrict for example DJ to see others uploaded content
(music)? Is there an advanced settings or any plugins for this? If I decided to do this by myself, where should I write a code? It's not
right when someone uploads music and others can see it.

Here all is....slow and painful but there are some great features to be implemented

Scheduling the key audio elements in a broadcast.With Airtime is like going back to the stone age. everything is done file by fyle manually playlisting a show. doesn't make any sense.

want a tip ? i think should be easy for skilled people like the airtime staff... give the possibility of tagging the audio files and then use that taging system to for example schedulling an entire hour or show. In that way we could populate it with a pre-determined structure of files like music jingles of different tagged files. and as for the airtime pro wich i'm evaluating? deleting the files one by one? not for me.

Adding items to the recent show via watched folders

I'm not completely sure I'm in the right category but I'll give it a try. I've read the posts about adding content to a show that is already on air and came up with another small(?) feature request:

As far as I understood it it's possible to add content to airtime via watched folders.
I want to take this one a little further: Would it be possible to add a script that not only adds the media files to airtime but also adds them to the current playlist after the current item?

Thus you could kind of have like "breaking news". :-)

If there has already been the same request I'm deeply sorry.

After the update to 2.0.1 and messing around with my network settings i get the following error message:

Can Newscoop be installed in a subdirectory?

Hello, I am trying to install Newscoop in a subdirectory and I can't seem to get it. All I'm getting is a 500 error.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request." Which of course is not helpful at all.

I am trying to install it on mediatemple Grid Service. Here:

I have checked the error logs and don't see anything else.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

For Airtime to be of any use to our Radio Station, we need some way to move songs, ID´s etc. in real-time. i.e. the Now Playing List or the Playlist that is currently On Air.

Example: Fred is doing a live show with music requests from the audience, but while he is talking notices that the theme song for his show is running out, how does he quickly make the song repeat or add it as the next item on the Now Playing list?

Hello.
I'm completly new to LInux and i really dont understand a thing (zero, banana) but i'm enjoing it !
Instaled ubuntu , then instaled Airtime like described here : http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-0/easy-setup/

on browser try to open http://localhost and i get a white screen with the text " It Works. this is the default web page for this server blah blah blah " nothing more.

tryed also to use the command on the console

sudo dpkg-reconfigure airtime

asks for a password but doesn´t let me input anytnhing.

Well Airtime is not showing. I guess this should be very easy...so..here i am asking.

Imporint a book

I have a book that I previously authored which is available in ePub format from lulu but I can not figure out how to import it into booktype. I have it downloaded to my computer but can not provide a URL to the ePub file that is not behind a paywall. I have the file on my local machine. I also have the book as an open office document and a pdf. Can I upload it?

First of all thank you for providing such a wonderfull tool for broadcasters. however, I'm experiencing a very weird issue with airtime 2.0.1.

Airtime connects to my external shoutcast server,

Then starts broadcasting the playlist assigned according to the calendar

"ON AIR" button turns solid red and you can hear the music from the shoutcast server.

After some time [say, 2 hours or so] the "ON AIR" button grays out but the playlist keeps on going,

Airtime stays connected to the shoutcast server as if I go to the Control Panel of the server I can see it say "Airtime Offline".

After all the above happens I can not get the "ON AIR" button to turn solid red and therefore the playlist plays but no music is broadcasted to the server [I keep receiving "Airtime Offline" on the server's control panel].

If I run "sudo airtime-check-system" tells me that my installation of Airtime looks OK.

If I reinstall airtime the problem goes away for a while, then it comes back and I have to reinstall airtime again.

I'm using Debian Squeeze 64 bits fully updated.

I could not find a way to embed video or audio. According to what I know these are just simple tags in HTML5. Correct?
Not being a developer or technician: Is there a way planned for a simple installation in a shared hosting environment? Mine is LAMP with Python and many other things but no shell access. Have you planned anything like a noob version?

Install booktype on ubuntu 11.10

Hello people,

i'm a php web dev but i can't install on my server BookType CMS.

I have setup a LAMP werbserver with latest ubuntu 11.10 64bit
version. I have a virtual machine with it on my windows 7 pc.

I have done all

Booktype prerequisites

but the latest step

- Unidecode (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/Unidecode)

$ sudo pip install unidecode

give me an error.

Then i have tried to follow the

Installing from the git repository

part but at the end when i go to

http://127.0.0.1:8000/

i have a server error. So i have tried again from start and i have
a new error "Template does not exists at/".

So again i have started from begin and now i have the first server
error which not found anything at

http://127.0.0.1:8000/

Can you help me to setup it??

Also, is this cms written and php or only py?? I have to make an
interface between it and my joomla site.

I have successfully installed Booktype on my local machine. I am having an issue when I publish an ebook. Every link offered on http://objavi.booki.cc/books/... does not work (404 not found). I am unsure where to troubleshoot. Installing a local version of Objavi seems unnecessary if I can used the shared public server.

Please help.

I have just installed airtime 2.0 and installed it on a Debian 6.0 distro. I have a ALSA card inside and I get everything seemingly working and using the ALSA card as a output device to listen to the on air feed. However I cannot get the icecast feed to give anything. It dosen't show any errors in the logs and if I use gstreamer to listen to it it shows up as paused. The airtime system preferences for the streams says that the feed is working ok, whether it is mp3 or ogg. I'm using the stock system preferences here.

I saw in the icecast FAQ that to check the icecast feed I could put in http://server.name:8000 and I should see status info on the feed but this address just times out when I try it when the feed is live (AIR TIME active).

Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong.

P.S. Awesome stuff. One thing though I tried to use the admin interface via an IPAD and the drag n drop functions didn't work. Any thoughts on how I can get that functionality working.

Hello there,

I'm very interested in setting up a booktype install on my server, and the demo has pleased me so far, except for one thing: the editor.

I've been using both TinyMCE and CKeditor as a front-end user and a developer, and I've always enjoyed CKeditor more than TinyMCE.

I don't intend to start a flamewar between those two. Rather, I've come to ask: is TinyMCE deeply integrated with Booktype? Are you using API elements that are specific to TinyMCE and that can't be found in CKeditor? How easy would it be to swap one for another? (or even better: allow users to choose their favorite one, although this could create some weird stuff HTML-wise).

I'll keep exploring the demo nevertheless, but I'm curious to hear what a Booktype developer has to say about this.

Adding a second stream server

I added a second stream (in the Stream 2 slot which is a remote icecast server - this one needs to feed our licensed stream), it's not working at all.

i.e. I can tune-in directly to Stream 1 from Airtime (and it's encoding) but Stream 2 does not appear to be sending anything.

As a side note: Maybe this will help in debugging - the server status for each server shows "Getting information from the server..." where as before adding the second stream Stream 1 (the local icecast) was green. Now both are orange saying "Getting information from the server...".

Or am I not understanding the purpose of these encoders? i.e. they feed only the local icecast server?

Can Airtime tune in a Stream

I am looking very seriously at getting airtime for my station. The one question I have is can airtime tune into a stream on schedule. I have DJ's who stream to a separate stream and my host computer tunes in that stream at scheduled time so they can play their own music from their own home/studio. Can air time do this?
