Maybe I didn't say it earlier, but I'm not a developer or coder. In fact my knowledge is very basic at command line. I say this 'cause I'd like to get the subversion package but I'm not sure on which packages I must previusly install in order to get'em.
I'd like you (or someone else) to give me a hint on which packages I must have in order to get svn packages to my box.
I have compiled packages in the past (also at present) directly from sources but I have never done it with svn packages. If u point me throu which files I must get before... that'll be very kind.
I'm very interesting in this version as far as I've read there are some new software implementations for future releases .
It's much simpler -- you just 'sudo apt-get install subversion'.
(Because you only need the client, not the server.)
Ccache is optional, but very
useful; you 'sudo apt-get install ccache', and then follow the
instructions in the INSTALLATION section of the
hfref="http://ccache.samba.org/ccache-man.html">manual.
After these two are installed, you have everything you need to follow

>Doug's howto.
I've just installed livesupport from subversion packages in Ubuntu Dapper and the installation went very smooth with no errors. Even when I did not install "ccache" (I forgot $( ) I guess all went just fine. (The only problem was the time ... 3 hours in my toshiba).
I still have the same old doubt about livesupport scheduller/server running in my NFS server (aka livesupport station) as far as all my music is in that server and in my laptop I have no space for music and I only have one sound card in my laptop and one more in my server.
Now I must start fighting with the streaming server and darkice.
