[campsite-support] Campsite 2.7: How to embed Youtube/Google Maps?
  • Hi people,

We are still using Campsite 2.7 and are not planning to upgrade soon. But
we still have a problem with the old template system. I've added a field
to an article type, named 'embed'. Users can paste the embed code from
Youtube or Google Maps into the embed-field. In the template i use article print embed> to get the embed code in my template. In the browser
this results in a direct display of the embed code, instead of the
embedded item. How can i let users paste the embed code in a field and
display the embedded items on a webpage using Campsite 2.7?

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen

  • Hi Jeroen,

one reaso is the wysiwyg Editor. You need to switch it to sourcecode-viewand
paste the embed code there. Go to admin -> Users -> Staff -> username ->
"Click here to customize user permissions" and enbable user rigt "User may
view the HTML source". Than the article editor shows an icon with tags,
where you can switch to source view.

    Best,
    Sebastian
