problem with checksum on importing files
  • I have set up a new airtime (2.4.0) for a new radiostation but when I try to import files the field checksum and md5 in cc_files is empty. And that of coarse causes some problem if you upload two files with the same ID3-data.

What can it be that is going wrong? Is it any way one can rebuild the checksum?

which file types do you use?
I got no problems with equal metadata in different mp3-tracks and currently got about 20 of them in the library.

I don't think this is because of equal Checksum/MD5.
I've had problems uploading mp3-files containing more than ~80 characters in an ID3-Tag.
So maybe this is just has to do with the number of characters in a Tag-field?

    What does "sudo airtime-check-system" say?
What do your logs say? "sudo airtime-log --dump" (packs log-files in a tarball at home)
Are your rejected files being moved to "/srv/airtime/stor/problem_files" (if you didn't change the folderlocation while installing)

And what is your goal using MD5/Checksum in ID3-Tags?
I don't see any benefit of using checksums in Airtime. But I'm open to hear some.

    cheers, hoerich
