First time install Airtime not starting
  • I just installed Airtime 2.03 on Ubuntu server 10.04 but have major errors.  Airtime Playout, Liquid Soap, Media monitor, and RabbitMQ are all not working.  I find errors for each which say "process id = FAILED" Please help.

    Thanks

  • Did you install the debian package (.deb extension) or through a tarball (.tar extension).

Were they any other errors during install? Also what's the output of "sudo monit status"

  • Thanks,

My host actually completed the install using a tarball I believe.  Monit is now running along with playout engine and rabbitmq.  Liquid soap appears to alternately between running and not running.

    sudo monit status output below:

  • Please get the contents of /var/log/airtime and post the contents here.

You can also try "sudo monit monitor airtime-liquidsoap" + "sudo monit monitor airtime-media-monitor"

  • liquid soap is starting and stopping while media monitor is not up at all.  Log files are attached.  Thanks.

  • Hi,

Apologies for the delay, this thread got lost in my inbox. I took a look through the logs and see the following error:

"2012/04/08 19:02:20 [clock.wallclock_main:2] Error when starting output shoutcast_stream_1: Cannot allocate memory in fork()!"

Just out of curiousity, is your host running Ubuntu 11.10? This looks like a problem I've seen with that OS, and has a simple fix. Please confirm.
