    Hi Miljan,

You will need a PC with Ubuntu that is directly connected to the internet (not behind a firewall or router). You can install Airtime on this PC, and then by giving out the internet address of this computer, people will be able to connect to your system and listen to your audio streams.

We also provide hosting for a monthly fee at www.sourcefabric.com if you find setting up and maintaining your Airtime server to much of a trouble.

Lastly you can try a shared public version of Airtime at http://airtime-demo.sourcefabric.org/

Is that a screen shot from the demo site? or your own?

It looks like your username/password is not matching the one you configured on Icecast.

  • @Martin Konecny:

I thought that internet always comes through a router .. I only have a Desktop pc at my home. Do i need to install airtime on my ISP server then? I would really like to stream directly from my own pc. Is that really impossible or i need  some other software for that task?

Is your machine behind a router? If so your computer is "hidden" from the internet. Your computer can make requests through the router, but anyone on the internet will only see your router and not your computer behind it.

You can make a simple configuration with your router so that if someone connects to your router requesting Icecast, then it forwards that request to your PC (this is called port forwarding). What router do you have?

@Martin - can you check my thread - http://forum.sourcefabric.org/discussion/13738/stream-remove-bad-stream And verify this. We're running up on a deadline for the demo of Airtime and need to get it running so the members can see and vote on it.
