Airtime 2.0 is now certified ready for action! The team's very proud of it and we hope that it will bring a lot to your stations and broadcasts.

Thanks once more for all your input, feedback and support over the past weeks and months. Airtime is still not actually 12 months old yet and it's come on a long way with the help of each and every downloader, tester and community member.

So, here it is... Airtime 2.0, the open source radio automation software. Enjoy and please let us know how you get on!

Hi Michael, that is the output you would expect from the command:

    sudo apt-get upgrade

which is different from 'update'. This is what you should do:

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install airtime

If you already have the newest version of Airtime available, the system will tell you.

    Cheers!

So far the issues all seem to be related to Chrome. Firefox is not displaying any of the previously mentioned display bugs.

If someone else can confirm this I'd appreciate it. Unfortunately our "DJ Systems" are Chromebooks!!!

    Cant install:

On Ubuntu 10.04.3 x64. I've done apt-get update, upgrade. And enabled partner repo + backports. Its a fresh install. Plus:

W: GPG error: http://apt.sourcefabric.org lucid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 0888FE5B174C1854

I corrected the entry i /etc/apt/sources.d.list/ from "squeeze" to "lucid" :)

    Hi Jesper,

Because you are running Lucid, you need to have a newer version of python-virtualenv than Lucid shipped with, which is available in the apt.sourcefabric.org repository. You have found a chicken-and-egg bug in the airtime-easy-setup package, so thanks for reporting that :-)

The GPG error is because you don't have the Sourcefabric keyring installed. The solution to both problems is to do:

    sudo apt-get install sourcefabric-keyring
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install airtime

This should install python-virtualenv 1.4.8, then airtime 2.0.0.

Please let us know how you get on. The reason you had to manually fix the entry in sources.list.d was a consequence of the airtime-easy-setup package failing, which I will post a fixed package for shortly.

    Cheers!

    Daniel
  • When i've made the command "sudo apt-get update",

    The Ubuntu Oneiric answers :

Les paquets suivants ont été conservés :
      airtime linux-generic-pae linux-headers-generic-pae linux-image-generic-pae
    0 mis à jour, 0 nouvellement installés, 0 à enlever et 4 non mis à jour.

    How to update ?

    Reply to @Daniel+James:

The fixed airtime-easy-setup package is now available at http://apt.sourcefabric.org/misc/airtime-easy-setup_2.0.0-2_all.deb

This bug only affected Ubuntu Lucid servers that did not have a previous installation of Airtime, in which case they had python-virtualenv 1.4.5 instead of the required 1.4.8 or later.

    Cheers!

Should we do a manual upgrade (per Daniels post) or hold for it to be in the update reps?

    ---

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install airtime

    ---

Sorry, America/Chicago. Time is still off.

    • Selected tracks for upload, they uploaded fine.
    • Moved to Playlist Builder - Selected New under the right field. It goes blank.
    • Moved to Calendar - it's a blank page.
(also blank) System > Status :

Update: Blanks are a display bug, Appears to be working fine under Firefox (we're an all Chrome shop).

Confirmed on 2 other PC's. It doesn't work correctly (visually) under Chrome.

Not a serious issue for now.

    Time is though.

    Hi Rick,

What happens when you do a browser cache reset in Chrome? (empty cache since the beginning of time)
  • I can't have the airtime update through the Ubuntu repository !

This is the end of my repository update :
    Atteint http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com oneiric-backports/multiverse Translation-en
    Atteint http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com oneiric-backports/restricted Translation-en
    Atteint http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com oneiric-backports/universe Translation-en
    Ign http://apt.sourcefabric.org oneiric/main Translation-fr_FR
    Ign http://apt.sourcefabric.org oneiric/main Translation-fr
    Ign http://apt.sourcefabric.org oneiric/main Translation-en

Is there a problem with the Oneiric repository ?

    IRT CC-3281  (Chrome)

I had indeed cleared the cache but not to the beginning of time.

This does seem to have fixed the issue!

    Reply to @Michael+La+Souriciere:

Hi Michael, the 'Ign' lines are not a problem, this just means the file in that line does not need to be downloaded. Try this:

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install airtime

You should get Airtime 2.0.0-4 installed, as shown here:

    http://apt.sourcefabric.org/dists/oneiric/main/binary-amd64/Packages

    Cheers!

    Hi Vassilis,

Currently Airtime does not work on Linux Mint. We will look into adding support for this in the future.
