No wysiwyg editor on iPad and iPhone

Hi there, I had a deeper look at newscoop to replace our present CMS. Unfortunately, I saw, that the Wysiwig editor in articles view is not being shown on my both mobile devices, iPhone and iPad. There nor on Safari and Mobile Opera. Both devices have the latest Apple-Software installed.

This is why I can't edit any Article on those devices.

Does anyone has seen this, too?

Is there any hack to disable the Wysiwyg Editor?

    Thanks a lot
    Peter

    hi Peter,
Newscoop uses TinyMCE as WYSIWYG editor. iOS 4 doesn't support rich text editing: http://axonflux.com/mobile-safari-and-the-ipad-do-not-suppor t-con
But Apple added support in iOS 5: http://www.gcsdblogs.org/roodhouse/?p=2320

    Hi Peter,

I've filed a ticket about this issue based on this thread. (As an iPhone user, I have a vested interest in this one Wink)

Check back there from time to time to see how it's progressing. You can also vote for it when you log in.

    Hope this helps,

It seems it has indeed been fixed in iOS 5.
