This is best asked in the icecast forums. They know far more about it than I do. But this might start you off. It's about overflowing icecast servers onto relays : http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=7245&sid=4af7e0a7797918fe88e6f77edbd…

Icecast can also play an emergency feed if the primary feed fails (eg Airtime). Folks could use this instead of the LiquidSoap fall-back scripts. But they don't.

Icecast is designed to do this for you. Icecast has a relay feature to sent output to a chain of other icecast servers. It can even load balance them. Checkout RELAY in the Icecast docs.

Airtime on Raspberry Pi 2
I used the non easy full method and have it working on half a dozen armh boxes. The Airtime stuff is mostly python. The principal executables are LiquidSoap and Icecast, which there ARE armh executables for.

Have you forwarded port 8001 on your router to your pc? If not your router's firewall is blocking it.

I guess you will have to download the DEB and install from that? My 'error' says it can't find the armh/bin folder.

Its not really an error. I get the same when installing Airtime onto other Rockchip devices. However Airtime installs and works fine (Trusty). I think it's because the APT assumes there will be armh stuff in there - but there isn't. Nor is…

It works with all up-to-date modern browsers and most phones. :) So no, it doesn't work with IE11 (they are late), without a plugin. Just the up-to-date ones are supported. :) Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Midori, Link2, Safari etc. are all fine.

Streaming WAV with Airtime.. !
Hi Daniel. I am not using this for broadcast, but for in store musac machines. Using WAV or Local sound card would drop my cpu load by 30% - no encoding time out for Liquid Soap.

Airtime Video Streaming
Liquidsoap can handle certain video formats and so can Icecast - so it shouldn't be too hard to add another mime type

Problems with Airtime alongside Centovacast
I found that if you upload in the same kbs as the final output stream via icecast - it gets it right. Upload a file of 96kbs and output at 128k and a quarter of the file doesnt play. At least that's what I find. I guess someone is using the w…

The file length is a bug in Airtime import somewhere. It's very annoying.

Airtime for RHEL, CentOS or Fedora
It would be quite easy to take a standard distro, install airtime & MIXXX and repack the distro. There is a command for that in Ubuntu and I guess the others. Call it AirtOS, Airbuntu or Airian :O and be home in time for dinner. Why has nobody d…

Small & cheap can be beautiful. On our ARMH project, we are going in the opposite direction, it's now so cheap, we are taking airtime right into dozens of live audience venues, each with hundreds of captive listeners, and coupling them up t…

I am installing 8 at a time in a single location and am not streaming out to the world. Over 2 years there are huge savings to be made. Also, if the web goes down - the boxes don't care.
