Exception installing pynotify and mutagen
Thanks. I guess the dependency python-mutagen can be removed from http:// wiki.sourcefabric.org/display/CC/Installing+Airtime+Dev+Vers ion+%28Latest+Trunk%29 Otherwise it overwrites the newer version. I also did some searching and found out y…

OK if I specify the required kombu and poster versions I get exceptions for each one. So how to remove the old versions?

rabbitmq-server fails to install
More work on this because I didn't want nullok in my common-auth as it's less secure. What I found was that my su file in /etc/pam.d was missing. Restoring this from a fresh Ubuntu Lucid install fixed the password prompt during install w…

No Audio/On Air light
Hi Martin, I have one VM guest for the .deb and one for the git stuff that's bleeding edge. Just upgraded from 1.7.? to 1.8.2 with apt-get and it went fine. I had to reconfigure my /etc/airtime stuff and everything in the database so…

Debian/Ubuntu apt repository -- permissions problem
Hi, I have to add my two cents to the blocking of the .deb files by changing permissions. I think this is not a good procedure for dealing with buggy source. There will always be bugs. There needs to be at least one binary available for thos…

No Sound from 1.8.2RC2
I got rabbitmq working on a clean Ubuntu 10.04 with the latest updates and no /etc file needed. I also didn't have blank password problems. I'm convinced a lot of problems come from a messy OS. Jeremy

Help setting up a music server on vps
That's the weird stuff that happens. Use the import script ~/airtime/utils/airtime-import . You can either link to them or copy them. Probably best to copy or else you have to keep the source files' location static. Jeremy

I'm running a guest Ubuntu Lucid on a VMWare 4 server without a soundcard. It works fine in 1.6.1 and 1.7.0 . You can also play the songs in the library via the web browser from the playlist creation screen. Make sure your airtime and apa…

Good call on the rabbitmq.conf file. Thought I had done that but it must have gotten deleted in one of the install/purge cycles. Now I have @400000004d962c06226a1cac 2011-04-01 15:48:12,577 INFO - [pypopush.py : run() : line 222] - heartbeat …
